Windsor Plywood carries Woodtone primed and pre-finished interior panelling and trim products. Woodtone offers finger-jointed primed shiplap, V-joint, and flat panel products designed for painted interior applications in residential and commercial construction. Products are factory-primed and ready for finish painting on-site.
Woodtone products use finger-jointing to join shorter pieces of wood into longer, more dimensionally stable panels. The factory-applied primer seals the wood and finger joints, providing a smooth, consistent surface for finish painting without grain telegraphing.
Windsor Plywood carries Woodtone finger-jointed primed shiplap and V-joint panelling profiles. Shiplap provides the characteristic shadow line between boards. V-joint provides a defined V-groove at each board joint. Both profiles are suited for feature walls, wainscoting, ceiling applications, and contemporary interior panelling where a painted finish is the design intent.
No. Woodtone finger-jointed primed products are designed for painted applications only. Staining over primed finger-jointed products will highlight the joints and produce an uneven, inconsistent colour result. For stained applications, use unprimed solid wood products from Windsor Plywood's lumber selection.
Standard Woodtone primed wood panelling is not recommended for full bathroom applications with regular steam and moisture exposure. For powder rooms with lower moisture exposure, a well-sealed painted installation may be acceptable. For full bathrooms and wet areas, PVC or moisture-resistant MDF panelling products are the appropriate choice.
