How do I apply Osmo Polyx-Oil to hardwood floors?
Apply Osmo Polyx-Oil in a thin coat using a flat brush or Osmo flat brush applicator, working with the grain. Apply sparingly — thick coats take longer to dry and can remain tacky. Wipe off any excess after 30 to 40 minutes. Apply a second thin coat after 8 to 12 hours.
Can Osmo finishes be applied over existing polyurethane?
No. Osmo oil finishes cannot be applied over existing polyurethane or film-forming coatings. The existing finish must be sanded back to bare wood before applying Osmo.
